January 10, 2024: Microsoft has taken a significant step towards fostering AI skills in India with the launch of AI Odyssey on Monday. This ambitious initiative aims to empower 100,000 developers in India by equipping them with advanced AI technologies and tools.

AI Odyssey is structured to provide developers with an immersive learning experience, enabling them to acquire and demonstrate the essential skills necessary for implementing key projects that align AI technologies with business goals.

In the current era of AI rapidly transforming the job landscape, Microsoft’s AI Odyssey is poised to create a workforce adept in using AI to tackle complex challenges and add value across various sectors.

This program enhances developers’ skills and positions them to contribute significantly to India’s growth by developing solutions and showcasing their expertise in solving real-world problems.

Developers interested in participating in AI Odyssey can register on the designated Microsoft portal at aka.ms/AIOdyssey. Here, they will gain access to a range of learning modules and resources. This inclusive program, open to all AI enthusiasts in India, regardless of their background or experience level, spans a month and involves two crucial levels that participants must complete by January 31, 2024.

The program’s first level guides participants in using Azure AI services to develop and deploy solutions for various scenarios. This includes providing access to valuable resources, code samples, and guides for mastering practical AI skills. Irina Ghose, Managing Director of Microsoft India, emphasized the importance of AI in innovation and India’s leading role in this domain.

She stated, “AI is the future of innovation, and India is leading the way with its tech talent. The Microsoft Applied Skills credential will help developers demonstrate competence and creativity in the most in-demand AI skills and scenarios.

We welcome all developers to join us in creating meaningful AI solutions to contribute to India’s economy.”

The second level presents a more challenging aspect: participants must validate their AI skills through an online assessment.

This assessment includes interactive lab tasks, and successful completion earns them the Microsoft Applied Skills credentials. This verifiable credential is a testament to their capability to address real-world problems using AI.

Moreover, successful participants who complete both levels of AI Odyssey can win a VIP Pass for the Microsoft AI Tour, which is scheduled to take place in Bangalore on February 8, 2024.

This tour presents a unique opportunity for participants to further their understanding and networking in the field of AI.

AI Odyssey by Microsoft marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards becoming a leader in AI technology and innovation.

It offers a unique platform for developers across India to enhance their skills, contribute to impactful solutions, and pave the way for a tech-driven future.
